Giovanni and Iva Cantini Scholarship Foundation ~ UNIPI

The ‘Giovanni and Iva Cantini Scholarship Foundation’ awards scholarships to deserving students in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering, preferably natives of the municipalities of Pomarance or Cecina.

It was established on 06.11.1946, and acquired legal personality by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 1812 of 24.12.1951 and subsequently by Prefectural Decree No. 1054/08 of 27.11.2008.
The Foundation Statute is currently being revised.

The Board of Directors consists of (those who hold office pro tempore):

President – Delegate for Relations with the Territory – Prof. Marco Macchia;

Mayor of the Municipality of Pisa (or his delegate) – Michele Conti;

Mayor of the Municipality of Pomarance (or his delegate) – Ilaria Bacci;

Mayor of the Municipality of Cecina (or her delegate) – Lia Burgalassi

President of the School of Engineering – Prof. Gabriele Pannocchia
