There are several dining options near the various university facilities, either directly managed by the Azienda Regionale per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario (ARDSU) or through contracts and agreements. Students can use the canteen service for both lunch and dinner at affordable prices.
To access university canteens, they must have a card:
- Temporary card, immediately available to all enrolled students, can be obtained directly at the university canteens.
- Student card, a magnetic badge featuring a photo and the university student ID number, issued to enrolled students.
In order to use the card in the canteen, students must activate it online or at the dedicated offices.

The Temporary card is valid for the canteen service only, while the Student card provides access to all services related to the right to education in Tuscany, regardless of the university of affiliation.
Thanks to its magnetic stripe and smart card technology, the Student Card allows access to the dining areas managed by ARDSU Toscana and can also be used as an electronic wallet.
