We promote the dissemination of knowledge and support social transformation, contributing to the progress of both the community and the region
The University of Pisa is committed to transferring knowledge from the academic community to society through the creation of entrepreneurial initiatives.
To promote a multidisciplinary entrepreneurial culture and enhance the creativity of its academic community, the University has established a Transversal University Course titled “Startup and Multidisciplinarity: A Roadmap,” as well as the Contamination Lab.
“Startup e multidisciplinarietà: una roadmap”
The course, open to the entire university community, explores the issues related to the implementation of entrepreneurial initiatives and outlines the tools needed to start an entrepreneurial path.

Contamination Lab
Since 2018, the Contamination Lab (CLab) has supported the transformation of creative ideas into concrete projects, in line with the European framework for Entrepreneurship Education.
It brings together diverse educational pathways, fostering collaboration between academia, the business sector, incubators, local associations, and international alliances such as Circle U. and Start For Future.
CLab also works to co-create innovation and participatory planning through the I-Lab, a training programme focused on two emerging professional profiles:
Innopreneur: an entrepreneur-innovator committed to developing sustainable, digital and socially responsible solutions
Innovation Broker: a professional who connects individuals, organisations and resources to accelerate the development and implementation of innovative ideas
