The Master’s Degree Course in Cybersecurity trains specialists with high scientific and technological skills in the field of security in systems, networks and information technology in general. The course focuses on the aspects of security from the hardware level up to the more abstract software levels and artificial intelligence. The course includes teachings on law and business organisation, enabling cybersecurity issues to be contextualised within operational settings. Students at the end of the course of study are able to design and implement secure IT infrastructures and systems, assess the risks associated with the use of IT technologies, design and evaluate innovative solutions for IT security, design IT and data management systems in accordance with current legislation. This Master’s Degree Course can be attended by students with degrees in Information Engineering and Computer Science and Technology

A general requirement for admission is possession of a three-year degree from the degree classes in Computer Science and Technology (L-31) or Information Engineering (L-8), or equivalent degrees in the corresponding classes under Ministerial Decree 509/1999. Students holding a three-year degree from another class obtained in Italy, or an equivalent qualification obtained abroad, who have acquired at least 54 CFUs, may be admitted if they have the following:

at least 36 CFUs in ING-INF/01, ING-INF/03, ING-INF/05, INF/01

at least 18 CFUs in MAT/, FIS/

The Board of the degree course will assess the adequacy of credits obtained by students with a foreign qualification. Furthermore, it will verify the adequacy of personal preparation for all students according to procedures defined in the academic regulations. Proficient knowledge of English at least at level B2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, is also required. The possession of such requirement can be certified by students at the time of enrolment or, if no certification is available, it will be verified during the curriculum review when assessing the student’s personal preparation.
