The postgraduate degree course provides the knowledge, skills and technical-relational abilities necessary for nurses to plan, manage and evaluate the care process related to organ and tissue donation and transplantation.
The training programme allows students to understand the operational structure of the National Network for organ and tissue donation — from national coordination centres to regional and corporate levels — as well as the procedures and dynamics of organ and tissue allocation, transplantation, and short-, medium-, and long-term follow-up.
Educational activities are aimed at developing the skills required to manage the nursing operational process in collaboration with patients, families, stakeholders, the network of reference care services, the work environment, and the care setting.
The training provided allows nurses to offer guidance in both intra- and extra-hospital settings, participate in the design of staff training activities, and provide therapeutic education to patients and their families.
