RESEARCH: Since 1998 Prof. Ciampolini has been the scientific responsible for the Genetic Biotechnology Laboratory - at the Department of Veterinary Sciences University of Pisa Italy. This laboratory is E.N.C.I. accredited and one of the laboratories of the ISAG International Society for Animal Genetics NETWORK. Since 2005 Prof. Ciampolini has been the founder and Member of the Scientific Committee of the Inter University Center for the Research in Dog Genetic and Clinical Consultancy University of Pisa University of Camerino; In this context, Prof. Ciampolini was responsible for different research projects on Clinical and Genetics of the Dog. Prof. Ciampolini is involved in the: BoVita BiOvita AsInita and Italian Goat Consortium Research Networks for studies on genetic variability, the interactions between genotype, phenotype, and climate in dairy cattle, and research for selection signatures of genomic adaptation to climate change in animal production species. Prof. Ciampolini is involved in studies of Genomics and Proteomics based on LC-MS combined with cDNA sequencing to characterize multiple proteoforms of donkey milk proteins. Prof. Ciampolini is involved in the activities of the PNRR - National Recovery Plan and Resilience: National Research Center for Agricultural Technologies (Agritech) spoke 5, task 5.2.2, Testing of resistant and resilient animals. Prof. Ciampolini is the author of more than 200 research products, including articles in international and national journals, of which 58 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts in journals, 5 contributions in books, 90 contributions and abstracts in conference proceedings and posters, 2 curatorships, and referee for several journals.
