Michele Raffaelli

Michele Raffaelli graduated in Agricultural Sciences with full marks and honours (110/110, summa cum laude) at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Pisa in the academic year 1993-1994;
- in 1995 he was awarded a scholarship of C.N.R. (National Research Council) for researches on soil physics;
- in the period 1996-1998 he was PhD student at the Division Agricultural Machinery of D.A.G.A. and since 1999 he is PhD in Agricultural Engineering;
- in the period 1997-2001 he carried out researches at the Estacion Experimental de Zonas Aridas of CSIC (Spanish National Research Council) in Almeria on topics regarding the interaction among soil tillage and erosion, run off and water harvesting;
- in 1997 he carried out researches at Department of Agricultural Engineering (Section of Horticultural Engineering) of Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences;
- in 2003/2004 ha was member of the international working group that wrote the Guidelines for physical weed control research of EWRS;
- in 1998-2008 he was researcher of Agricultural Machinery at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Pisa;
- since 2003 he is member of Italian association of Agricultural Engineering, of European Society of Agricultural Engineers and of International Commission of Agricultural Engineering;
- since the academic year 2001/2002 he teaches Agricultural Machinery and Farm Mechanization at the Faculty of Agriculture (currently Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment) of the University of Pisa;
- in 2004 he was qualified as Associate Professor of Agricultural Machinery in a national competition;
- in 2008-2016 he was Associate Professor of Agricultural Machinery at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Pisa;
- in 2015 he was qualified as full professor of Agricultural, Forestry and Biosystems Engineering in a National Scientific Qualification.
- since 2016 he is Full Professor of Agricultural Machinery at the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment of the University of Pisa.

2018-2020: Member of the Commission for Sector 07/C1 (INGEGNERIA AGRARIA, FORESTALE E DEI BIOSISTEMI) in the ASN (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale).
2021: Member of the Groups of experts for evaluation (GEV) in the Italian Evaluation of Research Quality (VQR) 2015-2019.
