1) cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in the transduction and processing of visual stimuli by rod photoreceptors;
2) cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in the generation of oxidative stress in neuronal and endothelial cells;
3) functional evaluation of spontaneous mutants and KO mice for their use in translational research.
4) functional evaluation of rod-fated cells derived from stem cells or reprogrammed fibroblasts
