Antonio Profico is a palaeoanthropologist and morphometrician interested in Human Evolution and Virtual Anthropology. His research concerns the link between skeletal morphology, function and evolution. After receiving a PhD at the Sapienza University of Rome (Italy) (2016) he worked for three years in the same University as a post-doctoral fellow for the study of the Neanderthal skeleton of Altamura (2016-19). His research projects have received funding from the European Union and national programmes and he has been research fellow at the University of York (UK) (2019-21), University of Tübingen (Germany) (2021-22) and Catalan Institute of Human Paleoecology and Social Evolution (Tarragona, Spain) (2022).
