Times Higher Education (THE)
This ranking compares more than 1,900 universities worldwide. It is based on performance indicators covering all areas of university activity:
- education;
- research;
- knowledge sharing;
- international image.
In the 2024 edition, the University of Pisa was ranked 401- 500 worldwide and 18th in Italy. The results were published in 2023.
In addition to the global ranking (World University Rankings), Times Higher Education (THE) also produces a ranking by subject (THE by Subject). The subjects are assessed by grouping them into 11 sectors.
In 2024 edition of THE by Subject, the University of Pisa stood out in the fields of Computer Science, Arts & Humanities, Physical Sciences and Law.
