Il 23 e il 24 ottobre la professsoressa Sabrina Ebbersmeyer, dell’Università di Copenaghen, tiene due incontri sul tema del mutamento della concezione della donna nel Rinascimento.
I seminari sono finanziati con il Programma Visiting Fellows, Progetto di Eccellenza 2019 del Dipartimento di Civiltà e Forme del Sapere dell’Università di Pisa.
Gli incontri si tengono il 23 ottobre 2019 (Aula G5 Polo Guidotti, via Trieste 38, ore 16.00-17.30) e il 24 ottobre 2019 (Aula G6 Polo Guidotti, via Trieste 38, ore 16.00-17.30).
The research project
The research project investigates the question how the conceptualisations of women changed during the Renaissance and the Early Modern Period, when more and more women entered the public sphere and participated in philosophical and scientific discourses. The different conceptions of women – e.g. ‘the exceptional women’, ‘the superiority (and the inferiority) of women’, ‘the equality between the sexes’ - will be analysed and compared. Special attention will be payed to the impact of Italian thought on the development of the modern conception of women and the female character.
