The visit to Pisa of a group of third-year students enrolled in the Geology Bachelor’s Degree Programme at the University of Pisa in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) concluded on 7 June. The students had been in Pisa since 24 May as part of an intensive training programme.
During their two-week stay, the students attended a Laboratory Skills course in the laboratories of the Department of Earth Sciences and the CISUP (Centre for Instrument Sharing of the University of Pisa). They also took part in field visits to geological outcrops in southern Tuscany, complementing their training in the field of critical raw materials.
During their stay, the Rector of the University of Pisa met the group for a cordial greeting. The Rector had previously met the students during his institutional visit to Tashkent in September 2024, together with Italy’s Minister of Universities and Research, Anna Maria Bernini.
