Second Cycle Degree Programmes

Non-European citizens residing abroad and wishing to enrol in a Master’s Degree Programme at the University of Pisa, are required to submit to the Italian Diplomatic Authority in their home country the pre-enrolment Form A, along with the following documents:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) of a first cycle academic degree
  • University Transcript of Records with all the completed exams

To know if your pre-enrolment request has been accepted, please contact the Italian diplomatic authorities of your home country.

After the pre-enrolment acceptation and upon arrival, they are required to:

  • Register on the web portal ALICE, entering personal data and getting individual credentials
  • Personally hand over by 31 December 2019, at the WIS! Helpdesk "Welcome International Student!”, the following documents:
    • The original version and a photocopy of the Bachelor’s Degree
    • Declaration of value (DV), issued by the Italian Diplomatic Authorities in their home country, along with the official translation into Italian of the diploma, legalised (or with an "apostille") and validated, OR, the ENIC-NARIC certificate is accepted (in Italian or in the English Language), OR by the Diploma Supplement. Please include photocopies of all documents
    In Italy, the Enic-Naric official Centre is Cimea, at the following link: https://cimea.diplo-me.eu/pisa/#/auth/login It is possible to request the Enic-Naric certificate through the platform DIPLOME reserved to students who intend to enroll to a degree in the University of Pisa. Students have to create a personal account, they will then find in their personal profile all the information about the modalities to request Certificates and about all the documents to submit. It will be possible to follow the status of the requests and to find the certification in pdf format in the section “My services”.
    • The University Transcript of Records with a list of all the exams completed abroad, and its official translation* into Italian. Please include photocopies of all documents
    • The courses description on University letterhead or University sealed paper (original version and official translation into Italian*)
    • A valid ID card and its photocopy
    • Italian long stay visa letter D and a photocopy
    • A scanned copy of the Residency Permit (or the Post Office receipt declaring the application for the Residency Permit )
    • The enrolment form (FORIM)
    • A passport size photo
    • A 16 Euros revenue stamp (“Marca da bollo”- on sale at Tabacchi shops). 
    • The payment receipt for the first instalment of the tuition fees (340 Euros, to be paid at the Post Office, on the account no. 150565 – Università di Pisa, description ”RA119”) or the receipt of DSU scholarship application, in case the requirements are fulfilled. *Please, contact the President of the Degree Programme you selected to assess if the Italian translation is required.

PLEASE NOTE

  • For the next academic year 2019/2020, the Italian Language Test is mandatory for no-EU citizens residing abroad and having applied for pre-enrolment at the Italian diplomatic authorities in their home country. The Italian language test will take place on 2 September 2019, in Pisa, at the Language Center (CLI) of the University of Pisa, via Santa Maria, 89, Lab 8, ground floor.
  • If you wish to enrol in a Master’s Degree Programme, admission depends on the possession of specific academic requirements. For further information on the requirements, please visit the webpages Admission to Second Cycle Degree Programmes and Degree programmes. If you need an estimated judgement of your current qualifications, please email the President of the selected Degree Programme, enclosing your current qualification, university transcript with all of the courses taken in your Country and the description of these courses.
  • If you wish to enrol in a Master’s Degree Programme held in English, we recommend you visit the dedicated webpage and learn about the procedure, deadlines and academic requirements for admission. The Italian language test is not mandatory for Master Degree Programme held in English.

After 31 December 2019 enrolment in a. y. 2019/20 shall not be possible.
