The University of Pisa welcomed participants from around the world for the Summer School in Law and Geopolitics, held from 6 to 10 July under the direction of Professor Paolo Passaglia.
Over five days, the programme explored the relationship between law and geopolitics, examining how legal systems shape geopolitical analysis and how geopolitical dynamics influence the development of laws and regulations.
Lectures and seminars addressed a wide range of contemporary global challenges, including new technologies, climate change, the circular economy, sustainable development, food sovereignty, migration, war, security, and sport.
The Summer School brought together 79 students from more than 20 countries, including China, Indonesia, India, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uganda, Nigeria, Germany, France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Bulgaria, and Poland, providing an international forum for dialogue and exchange on issues at the intersection of law and geopolitics.
