Fee reduction based on economic condition for students with an income in Italy
Fee reduction request based on economic/asset condition can be submitted online only through the web portal (www.studenti.unipi.it), by 31 October 2023 (at 12 noon).
A late request is possible from 1 November 2023 to 15 February 2024 (at 12 noon) with a € 75.00 late-payment extra charge.
In both cases, the reductions will only be applied to those students regularly registered/enrolled for the a.y. 2023/2024 by 31 December 2023 and having paid the enrolment/registration instalment or having applied for the DSU grant.
Yearly contribution and fee reductions for students with an income and/or assets abroad
- For foreign students residing abroad
- for not financially self-sufficient foreign students (pursuant to the Presidential Decree of the Council of Ministers – DPCM 159/2013, art. 8), residing or temporarily living in Italy, with a family unit residing in a country other than Italy, and having an income and/ or assets abroad
- for Italian students residing abroad and not registered with the Registry of Italian Citizens Residing Abroad – AIRE (Anagrafe Italiani all’Estero)
the maximum yearly contribution is € 2,400.00 and can be paid as follows:

Yearly contribution reduction based on the ISEEU PARIFICATO (Indicatore della Situazione Economica Equivalente Universitaria – Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator for the University)
The maximum yearly contribution may be reduced according to the “ISEEU Parificato” (Indicatore della Situazione Economica Equivalente Universitaria – Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator for the University), which may be issued by one of the Tax Assistance Centres - CAFs (Centri di Assistenza Fiscale) holding agreement with the University of Pisa:

The yearly fee reduction request based on the economic/asset status must be submitted online only through the web portal www.studenti.unipi.it, by 31 October 2023 (at 12 noon).

After submitting the yearly fee reduction request, students must email to Questo indirizzo email è protetto dagli spambots. È necessario abilitare JavaScript per vederlo. their declaration “ISEEU Parificato” (Indicatore della Situazione Economica Equivalente Universitaria – Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator for the University).

Self-declaration for the determination of the LUMP CONTRIBUTION
If unable to submit the ISEEU Parificato and, however, in economically disadvantaged status, the aforementioned students may benefit from the determination of the lump yearly contribution, calculated by multiplying fixed coefficients (0.1,0.2,0.3,0. 4) attributed to the groups of countries listed in "Annex 2" of the Student Contribution Regulations for the academic year 2023/2024 up to the yearly contribution maximum amount of € 2,400.00, corresponding to lump contributions of € 240.00, € 480.00, € 960.00 and € 2,400.00, in addition to the regional tax of € 140.00 and the revenue stamp of € 16.00 only for enrolled students.
For lump contribution application, students must submit the reduction request online only through the web portal www.studenti.unipi.it, as well as the self-declaration stating the impossibility to submit the ISEEU Parificato and the economically disadvantaged status.

Please note! In the event of failed submission of the aforementioned declarations within the deadlines set for the yearly fee reduction request, student’s position will be equated with the unsubmitted reduction request and the fully yearly amount of € 2.400,00 will be due.
In any case, all students with citizenship other than Italian and Italian students residing abroad who are not registered with the Registry of Italian Citizens Residing Abroad – AIRE (Anagrafe Italiani all’Estero) are excluded from:
- the additional contributions for administrative irregularities and academic inactivity pursuant to art. 1.2.2
- the reductions for "offsite students" and "other members of the family unit enrolled at the University of Pisa", pursuant to the Student Contribution Regulations for the academic year 2023/2024, article 1.2.3.
If the mandatory qualification to access a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Programme was awarded in a country other than Italy, the merit-based reductions would be applied from the second year of enrolment.
