Professor Alessio Cavicchi, the Rector’s delegate for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship Culture and Social Innovation and Scientific Manager of the contamination Lab of the University of Pisa, has been invited by the European Commission to speak at the international event ‘Entrepreneurial Skills and Competences Throughout Life‘, organised by the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, in collaboration with the PPMI Group, within the Community for Educational Innovation of the Erasmus+ Programme.
The event, which will take place online on 26 June from 3.30 to 5.00 pm, is dedicated to promoting entrepreneurial skills throughout life, with a particular focus on integrating these skills into European education systems.
During his speech, entitled “Building bridges: Enhancing entrepreneurial education and regional innovation. The case of Contamination Lab in Pisa”, Alessio Cavicchi will present the Contamination Lab as a significant case in the field of educational and entrepreneurial innovation. The focus of his contribution will be on the importance of connecting the local ecosystem – which includes institutions such as the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, the Scuola Normale Superiore, the Navacchio Technological Pole, and entrepreneurs’ associations – with other European innovation ecosystems, through strategic partnerships like Circle U. and Start For Future.
“I strongly believe in the value of the connections between local ecosystems and European networks to generate social impact and sustainable innovation. The Contamination Lab is a concrete example of how the university can be a bridge between research, the local area and the future,” stated Alessio Cavicchi.
The event is aimed at educators, researchers, students, policymakers and professionals interested in promoting innovation in European education systems. You can follow the event online by registering at this link.
