The University of Pisa is committed to promoting education and developing a culture of sustainability. It aims to build an informed and inclusive community, and to foster academic networks, partnerships and collaborations that prioritise people and the planet, in line with Goals 4 \u2013 Quality Education<\/strong> and 17 \u2013 Partnerships for the Goals<\/strong> of the 2030 Agenda.
\nEducation for sustainability involves more than just the transmission of knowledge: it also includes awareness-raising, communication and the promotion of sustainable behaviours, fostering transversal skills and transforming the University into a model of sustainability.<\/p>\n

The cross-disciplinary course on the 2030 Agenda<\/h2>\n

The University of Pisa organises the cross-disciplinary University course \u201cThe 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals\u201d, conceived as an \u201cintroductory lesson\u201d for those wishing to engage with sustainability topics.
\nThe course, open to all students at the University, is structured into 17 lectures and one \u201caction-learning\u201d workshop, for a total of 40 hours. It includes sessions led by lecturers and experts from different disciplinary areas, as well as a final assessment to verify the knowledge acquired.
\nThrough the Open Badge format, external participants can also access the course, taking advantage of a lifelong learning opportunity aimed at gaining knowledge of the 17 goals of the 2030 Agenda from a multidisciplinary perspective and in line with the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (EU CSRD).<\/p>\n

Reports and cultural initiatives<\/h2>\n

The University also promotes sustainability through the preparation of its University Sustainability Report<\/strong>, the organisation of events and cultural initiatives, and the promotion of cross-disciplinary training pathways.
\nThese actions help strengthen a culture of sustainability, build inclusive partnerships<\/strong>, encourage responsible behaviours, and disseminate practical knowledge useful to students, staff and the wider community.<\/p>\n
