As a result, validation times may be longer during this month.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants interested in<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/en\/education\/courses\/\"> study courses of the University of Pisa<\/a> must access the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.universitaly.it\/\"> UniversItaly portal<\/a> and <strong>complete the pre-enrolment application<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The University examines the applications and may request additional documents for evaluation. After validating the application, the University enters the data on the UniversItaly portal.<\/p>\n<p>Once confirmation of validation has been received, the applicant must contact the Italian diplomatic office competent for their country of residence abroad and follow the instructions for requesting the <strong>Italian<\/strong> <strong>type D study visa<\/strong> for study\/university enrolment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Attention<\/strong>: acceptance or pre-enrolment at the University of Pisa <strong>does not<\/strong>, in any way,<strong> guarantee the issuance of a visa or the possibility of obtaining an appointment for visa submission<\/strong>, as both depend exclusively on the diplomatic or consular Mission.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Pisa does not set specific deadlines for pre-registration on <strong>UniversItaly<\/strong>, except for those indicated in the calls for restricted-access courses. It is advisable to pre-register as early as possible so that the visa can be issued in time for registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It is only possible to request a study visa after receiving confirmation of the validation of the pre-registration application from the University of Pisa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Any updates will be published on this page.<\/p>\n<h2>Courses of study in Italian<\/h2>\n<p>If you wish to enrol in a Bachelor\u2019s Degree Course, a Master\u2019s Degree Course or a Single-Cycle Master\u2019s Degree Course in Italian, you must demonstrate a B2 level of Italian language competence, through one of the following methods:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>language certification<\/strong> &#8211; While filling out the pre-registration application on the UniversItaly portal, you must upload a certificate of competence in Italian at level B2 or higher, issued under the CLIQ (Certificazione Lingua Italiana di Qualit\u00e0) quality system. This system includes the following certifying bodies:\n<ul>\n<li>University for Foreigners of Perugia<\/li>\n<li>University for Foreigners of Siena<\/li>\n<li>Roma Tre University<\/li>\n<li>Societ\u00e0 Dante Alighieri<\/li>\n<li>Dante Alighieri University for Foreigners of Reggio Calabria (also in agreement with the Italian Cultural Institutes abroad or other accredited bodies)<br \/>\nCertification may have been obtained in your country of origin at internationally agreed examination venues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>online language test<\/strong>: if you do not have a B2-level certificate, you must take an online test organised by CLI (Centro Linguistico di Ateneo) which includes a written test and a remote interview. Only if you pass both parts, the University Language Centre (CLI) will issue you an <strong>open badge<\/strong> which you <strong>must upload to the Universitaly portal<\/strong> so that your pre-enrolment application to the University of Pisa can be validated. The modalities and timing of the test are communicated on the page <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/en\/education\/registration\/enrolment-for-international-students\/assessment-of-italian-language-skills-no-eu-citizenship\/\"><span class=\"elementor-icon-list-text\">Assessment of Italian language skills .\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Courses of study in English<\/h2>\n<p>If you choose a course of study in English<strong> you do not need<\/strong> to demonstrate B2 Italian language proficiency.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, it <strong>is not necessary<\/strong> to upload an English language certificate to UniversItaly, as the language level has already been assessed during the admission phase of the course of study.<\/p>\n<div class=\"b53 accordion \" id=\"accordion-1\"><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\n\t\t<div class=\"b53 accordion-collapse collapse\"\n\t\t\t\taria-labelledby=\"accordion-1-t1\"\n\t\t\t\tdata-bs-parent=\"#accordion-1\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"b53 accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Students wishing to pre-register for Bachelor\u2019s or Single-Cycle Master\u2019s Courses at the University of Pisa must access the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universitaly.it\/\">UniversItaly Portal<\/a> and fill in the relevant pre-registration application.<\/p>\n<p>The pre-registration application must then be submitted to the Italian Diplomatic Mission in your place of residence, after the University of Pisa has validated it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you have one of the qualifications listed<\/strong> in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/Allegato-1-Circolare-2025-2026.pdf\">Annex 1 <\/a>, indicate<strong> just one of the courses of study<\/strong> in the active database in your the pre-registration application on the UniversItaly portal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you have one of the qualifications listed <\/strong>in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/Allegato-2-Circolare-2025-2026.pdf\">Annex 2<\/a>, choose the course regardless of the number of reserved places.<\/p>\n<p>Diplomatic and Consular Missions accept the application conditionally if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>you are attending the final year of secondary school and must take the final examination, in addition to any required academic examinations<\/li>\n<li>if the University of Pisa has indicated in the application that your admission is subject to further requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Documents to be uploaded to the UniversItaly Portal for evaluation by the University of Pisa in order to validate the pre-registration application<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>your final qualification in the original (or certified copy) of secondary education with at least 12 years of schooling, or substitute certificate for all legal purposes and official translation into Italian<\/li>\n<li>a certificate attesting to having passed the academic aptitude test that may be required for access to the university in the country of origin, officially translated into Italian<\/li>\n<li>one of the B2-level Italian language proficiency certificates of the Council of Europe, issued within the CLIQ (Certificazione Lingua Italiana di Qualit\u00e0) quality certification system listed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/en\/education\/registration\/enrolment-for-international-students\/assessment-of-italian-language-skills-no-eu-citizenship\/\">on this page.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Any other documentation that may be requested by the University of Pisa for assessing the validity of the foreign qualification for the purposes of evaluation and the subsequent validation of the pre-registration application, to be forwarded to the diplomatic authorities for the purpose of issuing the study visa.<\/p>\n<p>If you already have one, we recommend uploading only one of the following documents relating to your qualification:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Declaration of Value issued by the Italian Diplomatic Representation (Embassy or Consulate) competent for the territory to which the qualification belongs<\/li>\n<li>certificate of comparability issued by <a class=\"b53-accordion-text\">Pre-registration for a Master\u2019s Degree Course<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t<div id=\"accordion-1-c2\" class=\"b53 accordion-collapse collapse\"\n\t\t\t\taria-labelledby=\"accordion-1-t2\"\n\t\t\t\tdata-bs-parent=\"#accordion-1\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"b53 accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>In the case of pre-enrolment for a Master\u2019s degree, admission is subject to the possession of specific <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/index.php\/iscriversi-all-universita-di-pisa\/item\/5926-prova-di-conoscenza-della-lingua-italiana\"><strong>academic requirements<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To find out governing access to Master\u2019s Degree Courses<\/a> and that on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/en\/education\/courses\/master-degree\/\">educational offer<\/a> of the relevant course.<\/p>\n<p>In order to have your qualifications assessed in advance, you can send an email to the president of the selected course of study, enclosing your qualifications and a list of exams with the study programmes completed in your country.<\/p>\n<p>All relevant information about the Italian language proficiency test is published on the page <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/en\/education\/registration\/enrolment-for-international-students\/assessment-of-italian-language-skills-no-eu-citizenship\/\">Assessment of Italian language skills<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you wish to pre-register for a non-single-cycle Master\u2019s Degree Course at the University of Pisa, <strong>you need to log in<\/strong> <strong>to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universitaly.it\/index.php\/registration\/firststep\">UniversItaly porta<\/a>l and complete the corresponding pre-registration form<\/strong> which must be submitted to the Italian Diplomatic Representation in your place of residence once it has been validated by the University of Pisa.<\/p>\n<p>Diplomatic and Consular Missions accept applications conditionally when, despite having completed the course of study, applicants do not yet possess the relevant qualifications or when eligibility for the course depends on additional elements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Documents to be uploaded to the UniversItaly Portal for evaluation by the University of Pisa in order to validate the pre-registration application<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a university degree or corresponding first-level academic qualification<\/li>\n<li>an official translation into Italian of the above qualification<\/li>\n<li>a Transcript of Records issued by the foreign university where the qualification was obtained<\/li>\n<li>an official translation into<strong> Italian<\/strong> of the aforementioned Transcript of Records<\/li>\n<li>the syllabi for each discipline passed to obtain the degree (the syllabus can be attested by the Diploma Supplement, where applicable)<\/li>\n<li>an official translation into <strong>Italian<\/strong> of the above syllabi<\/li>\n<li>a certificate of competence in Italian at level B2 or higher as provided for by the Council of Europe<\/li>\n<li>any other documentation that may be requested by the University of Pisa to assess the validity of the
