{"id":266828,"date":"2025-02-14T10:02:11","date_gmt":"2025-02-14T10:02:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/education\/student-offices\/career-management\/riconoscimento-crediti-formativi\/"},"modified":"2025-10-30T12:44:42","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T11:44:42","slug":"recognition-of-university-credits","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/en\/education\/student-offices\/career-management\/recognition-of-university-credits\/","title":{"rendered":"Recognition of university credits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Students enrolled at the University of Pisa may request:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the recognition of credits obtained in previous academic careers that ended due to withdrawal or loss of student status (\u201cdecadenza\u201d)<\/li>\n<li>the recognition of one or more academic qualifications (career shortening)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To request credit recognition, send from your institutional e-mail account (nomeutente@studenti.unipi.it) to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/en\/education\/student-offices\/locations-and-contacts\/administrative-and-educational-student-office\/\">student office contact person for your degree course<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the credit recognition request form (downloadable in<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/riconoscim_crediti_2025.pdf\"> .pdf<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/riconoscim_crediti_2025.rtf\">.rtf<\/a> format)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>or<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the request for recognition of one or more academic qualifications (downloadable in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/riconoscimento_titoli.rtf\">.rtf<\/a> or<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/riconoscimento_titoli.pdf\"> .pdf<\/a> format), together with a self-certification of your degree, including a list of the exams taken and, if possible, their corresponding scientific-disciplinary sectors (SSDs) (download the self-certification form in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/index.php\/servizi-di-segreteria\/item\/download\/27633_2e50fda8f73a6f25edf9d1227182e010\">.pdf<\/a> or<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/autocert_LAUREA_.rtf\"> .rtf<\/a> format)<\/li>\n<li>a copy of your identity document<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The request will be assessed by the Board of the Degree Course:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>if approved without reservations, the Student Office will record the recognised educational activities without further communication, and they will be visible in your personal page on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studenti.unipi.it\/Home.do\">Alice portal<\/a><\/li>\n<li>if the decision differs from your request, you will be notified and must explicitly accept the resolution. submitting a credit recognition request, <strong>make sure that your tuition fees are paid and that you are regularly enrolled for the academic year 2025\/2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If you request the recognition of credits from a career that ended due to withdrawal or loss of student status, you must accept or refuse the recognised credits listed in the resolution within 30 days of notification.<\/p>\n<p>If you obtain credit recognition for previous academic qualifications, no additional payment is required.<\/p>\n<p>If you obtain <strong>credit recognition for exams taken in previous academic careers that ended due to withdrawal or loss of student status, you must pay<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EUR 500 for careers at other Italian or foreign universities<\/li>\n<li>for careers at the University of Pisa:\n<ul>\n<li>EUR 100 for each academic year prior to the year of enrolment, up to a maximum of EUR 1,100, if at least two academic years have elapsed between withdrawal\/loss of student status and the new enrolment<\/li>\n<li>EUR 490 if only one academic year has elapsed between withdrawal\/loss of student status and the new enrolment, or if withdrawal\/loss of student status was recorded for academic year 2023\/2024 by 31 October 2023<\/li>\n<li>no payment if the new enrolment occurs in the same academic year as withdrawal\/loss of student status, or if withdrawal\/loss of student status was recorded for academic year 2023\/2024 after 31 October 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Recognised educational activities will be added to your academic record after the relevant payments have been made<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a
