Students enrolled on a degree course at the University of Pisa may also attend modules offered by degree courses other than their own.<\/p>\n

The only exception concerns modules belonging to regulated-admission degree courses.<\/strong> To attend these, you must submit a reasoned request for authorisation, which must be approved by the Board of the degree course concerned.<\/p>\n

The Boards of Medicine and Surgery, Sports and physical education, Sport science for prevention and rehabilitation, and Veterinary Medicine will consider only requests from students who need to acquire credits for teaching purposes in scientific-disciplinary sectors (SSDs) offered exclusively by degree courses run by the departments comprising the School of Medicine.<\/p>\n

All other requests are rejected for logistical reasons and in compliance with safety regulations.<\/p>\n

All exams you pass\u2014even if they are not part of your own degree course\u2014are recorded in your academic record<\/strong>. Those not required for the award of the degree will be marked as additional (sovrannumerari).<\/p>\n

It is not permitted to have an exam recorded for a number of credits lower than that specified in the course catalogue.<\/p>\n

For the credits set out in your statutory study plan as elective activities, you may choose from modules offered across the University, provided they are consistent with your study plan.<\/p>\n

Consistency with your study plan must be approved by the Board of your degree course<\/strong>, which considers the student\u2019s cultural interests and career development. You must therefore submit an individual study plan or a specific request for authorisation to take those exams.<\/p>\n

Your course regulations may indicate a list of recommended activities for which consistency is automatically recognised; in such cases, no authorisation request is required.<\/p>\n

Please read the course regulations for your degree course<\/a> and contact your course coordinator for further information.<\/p>\n

The authorisation request must be submitted before attending the classes and sitting the exam.<\/p>\n

Send the authorisation form (downloadable in .rtf format<\/a> or .pdf format<\/a>) from your institutional e-mail address to the student office contact person of your degree course<\/a>, attaching a copy of your identity document.<\/p>\n

Before sending the form<\/strong>, please check the website of your department<\/a> to see whether, in your specific case, the request must be sent directly to the relevant teaching unit.<\/p>\n
