In addition to paid work, it offers the opportunity to obtain a university degree or other higher education qualification, including a PhD.<\/p>\n<h2>Types of apprenticeship<\/h2>\n<p>Two types of apprenticeship can be activated in collaboration with the University of Pisa:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apprenticeship for obtaining a qualification (Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s Degree \u2013 maximum duration: 2 years; Single-cycle Master\u2019s Degree \u2013 maximum duration: 4 years; First- and Second-Level Postgraduate Degree \u2013 maximum duration: 2 years; PhD \u2013 maximum duration: 4 years)<\/li>\n<li>Apprenticeship for research activities, for those who already hold a Master\u2019s Degree or higher qualification \u2013 maximum duration: 3 years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Due sono le tipologie che possono essere attivate con l\u2019Universit\u00e0 di Pisa:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apprendistato per il conseguimento di un titolo di studio (Laurea triennale o magistrale \u2013 durata massima 2 anni; Laurea magistrale a ciclo unico \u2013 durata massima 4 anni; Master di I e II livello \u2013 durata massima 2 anni; Dottorato di ricerca \u2013 durata massima 4 anni).<\/li>\n<li>Apprendistato per lo svolgimento di attivit\u00e0 di ricerca, per coloro che hanno conseguito una laurea magistrale o titolo superiore \u2013 durata massima 3 anni.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Duration and Pay<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Duration<\/strong>: The apprenticeship is an open-ended employment contract with a minimum duration of six months. The maximum duration depends on the type of apprenticeship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pay<\/strong>: For remuneration purposes, the company may classify the apprentice up to two levels lower than the position established by the relevant national collective labour agreement (CCNL).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Termination<\/strong>: At the end of the training period, both parties have the right to terminate the contract in accordance with the notice period established by Article 2118 of the Civil Code. If neither party expresses the intention to terminate, the employment relationship continues as a standard open-ended employment contract.<\/p>\n<h2>Certification of acquired skills<\/h2>\n<p>At the end of the apprenticeship, the University issues a certificate of the skills acquired, which may also be recorded in the employee\u2019s electronic file (Fascicolo elettronico del lavoratore).<\/p>\n<h2>Parties involved<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>University<\/strong>: facilitates cooperation between academic and business world, aligning its educational offer with labour market needs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Company<\/strong>: works with the University to design the apprentice\u2019s training plan, based on the professional skills to be acquired.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Apprentice<\/strong>: obtains a university degree or higher education qualification (degree, PhD, postgraduate degree) or carries out research while working and acquiring professional skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Required documents<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Agreement<\/strong>: signed by the University and the company, outlining their respective roles and responsibilities in the implementation of the apprenticeship.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Employment contract<\/strong>: open-ended, written and signed by both the company and the apprentice.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Individual training plan<\/strong>: jointly prepared by the University and the company. It defines key elements such as the apprentice\u2019s contractual terms, training content, duration and yearly structure, and the criteria and methods for assessing learning outcomes.
