{"id":19627,"date":"2025-01-11T17:52:51","date_gmt":"2025-01-11T17:52:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/campus-and-services\/services\/assicurazione-e-assistenza-sanitaria-le-coperture-per-gli-studenti\/assicurazione-per-studenti-infortuni\/"},"modified":"2025-10-17T11:56:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T09:56:09","slug":"accident-insurance-policy-for-students","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/en\/campus-e-servizi\/services\/insurance-and-health-care-coverage-for-students\/accident-insurance-policy-for-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Accident insurance policy for students"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span class=\"TextRun SCXW78778328 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW78778328 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"heading 1\">Accident insurance policy for students, staff and others<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3>Who is insured<\/h3>\n<p>The policy is reserved for students, understood as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>students regularly enrolled for the current academic year, students about to graduate, and foreign students attending the organisation\u2019s facilities and participating in activities offered by the organisation as part of a cultural exchange programme;<\/li>\n<li>PhD students, research fellows, scholarship holders, post-graduate degree students, graduates and the like;<\/li>\n<li>persons participating in activities arranged by the organisation for traineeships, education, professional development, advanced training, specialisation;<\/li>\n<li>persons involved in providing services to students with disabilities;<\/li>\n<li>consultants and anyone else associated with the organisation in any other capacity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What, how and where they are insured<\/h3>\n<p>Only the harmful consequences resulting from an accident (<strong>and not those caused by an illness) are covered<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIf you fall into the student category, you are automatically covered for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>all activities carried out at university facilities;<\/li>\n<li>transfers between different university facilities;<\/li>\n<li>participation in sports activities organised by the University of Pisa or managed by the C.U.S. Pisa;<\/li>\n<li>transfers from home to the university facilities or others that the student is entitled to attend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All other activities carried out by third parties are covered by insurance without geographical limits, provided that they are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>conducted under the sponsorship of the University of Pisa;<\/li>\n<li>authorised by a facility manager of the University of Pisa (i.e. the director of the relevant department, the president of the course of study, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What to do in case of injury<\/h3>\n<p>When an injury occurs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>in a scientific, educational and service structure (department, interdepartmental centre, etc.) or while travelling (between home and between university facilities), send the following documents to <a href=\"mailto:davide.arduini@unipi.it\">davide.arduini@unipi.it<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/images\/2023\/denunciainfortuni2021-2024_1.rtf\">completed form<\/a>, copy of the identity document, copy of the medical certificate from the emergency room or similar, any other documents that may be useful;<\/li>\n<li>during participation in sports activities organised by the University of Pisa or managed by the C.U.S. Pisa, send the documents to <a href=\"mailto:antonella.mannucci@unipi.it\">antonella.mannucci@unipi.it<\/a> together with a certificate from the C.U.S. stating that the injury occurred during activities organised by C.U.S. Pisa or the referee\u2019s report (only in the case of matches).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Only after successful recovery, certified by the attending physician (with or without sequelae), should the student send documentation of the costs of the treatment to <a href=\"mailto:davide.arduini@unipi.it\">davide.arduini@unipi.it<\/a> for forwarding to the insurance company.<\/p>\n<p>Policy No.: 90104<br \/>\nValidity: from 1\/4\/2021 to 31\/12\/2024.<br \/>\nCompany: Poste Assicura S.p.A.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/index.php\/amministrazione\/item\/download\/22948_437b8a981054924acf828385a02d055b\">Policy document\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Accident insurance policy for students, staff and others Who is insured The policy is reserved for students, understood as: students regularly enrolled for the current academic year, students about to graduate, and foreign students attending the organisation\u2019s facilities and participating in activities offered by the organisation as part of a cultural exchange programme;
