It is therefore important to include supporting documentation (e.g. Diploma Supplement, declaration of value, ENIC-NARIC certificates, etc.) with the application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional requirements for \u201cPegaso\u201d grants<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pegaso Grants are funded under the PR ESF 2021\/27 and are part of the <em>Giovanis\u00ec<\/em> project (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.giovanisi.it\">www.giovanisi.it<\/a>) promoted by Regione Toscana to support youth autonomy.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants wishing to compete for a Pegaso Grant (funded by Regione Toscana) must also:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be under 35 years of age at the time of application;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate English language proficiency at least at B2 level (to be certified before enrolment);<\/li>\n<li>Be available to undertake research abroad (minimum of 6 or 12 months);<\/li>\n<li>Attend courses in <em>Soft Skills, Data Science<\/em>, and cross-cutting skills;<\/li>\n<li>In some cases, carry out training or research in an applied context.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All details are available in the individual programme descriptions attached to the official Call.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PhD grants<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The gross amount of the grant for the academic year 2025\/2026 is \u20ac16,243.00 per year, paid in monthly instalments. According to current legislation, PhD students are entitled to a budget equal to no less than 10% of the grant amount to support their research activities in Italy and abroad, as well as a 50% increase in the grant for a total period of no more than 12 months for research stays abroad.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PhD students are exempt from paying university tuition fees<\/strong> and are only required to pay the regional tax, amounting to \u20ac140.00 per year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application for the Call<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To apply for the Call, candidates must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Register online through the <em>Alice<\/em> portal;<\/li>\n<li>Upload the required documentation (CV, research proposal if applicable, self-certification of degree, any documentation for foreign qualifications);<\/li>\n<li>Pay the application fee (\u20ac30.00) within the deadline;<\/li>\n<li>Print and keep the application receipt (including the pre-enrolment number);<\/li>\n<li>Request to take the interview via videoconference (if required).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/en\/education\/courses\/phd-programmes\/call-for-applications-for-admission-to-phd-programmes-academic-year-2025-2026\/how-to-apply-for-a-phd-call-quick-guide\/\"><strong>Go to the application page<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Selection procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The selection procedure include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CV assessment;<\/li>\n<li>Presentation and discussion of a research project (if required);<\/li>\n<li>Written examination (if required);<\/li>\n<li>Interview;<\/li>\n<li>Presentation of the research project (if required).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Examinations will take place between <strong>July and September 2025<\/strong>, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/calendariopubblicazione41_22072025.pdf\">schedule<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Programme offering and active PhD programmes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Call includes numerous PhD programmes, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Programmes conducted with research institutions or other universities;<\/li>\n<li>Industrial PhDs and National PhDs;<\/li>\n<li>PhD programmes funded by Regione Toscana \u2013 through PR ESF 2021\/27 resources \u2013 as part of <em>Giovanis\u00ec<\/em> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.giovanisi.it\">www.giovanisi.it<\/a>), including the \u201cPegaso\u201d PhD grants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>A full list of programmes and detailed descriptions is available in the attachments to the official Call.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Rankings, enrolment and reassignments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rankings will be published by 30 September 2025. Eligible candidates must confirm their interest in participating in the reallocation of unassigned positions, otherwise they will be excluded from subsequent assignments.
