The University of Pisa <\/span>is<\/span> committed<\/span> to <\/span>advancing<\/span> research<\/span> by <\/span>implementing<\/span> concrete <\/span>initiatives<\/span> that<\/span> support and <\/span>enhance<\/span> talent <\/span>at<\/span> every<\/span> stage of the <\/span>academic<\/span> and <\/span>scientific<\/span> career. <\/span>Our<\/span> goal <\/span>is<\/span> to <\/span>attract<\/span>, <\/span>develop<\/span>, and support <\/span>researchers<\/span> through<\/span> targeted<\/span> and <\/span>diversified<\/span> strategies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attracting<\/span> Young International Talent<\/span>s<\/h2>\n

We invest in the future of research by actively seeking to bring the most promising young talents from across Europe and beyond to Pisa. To this end, we provide specialized support for the preparation of proposals for the\u202fMarie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships<\/strong> (MSCA-PF).

Participation<\/span> in ERC Calls<\/span><\/h2>\n

We<\/span> support the <\/span>scientific<\/span> ambition<\/span> and <\/span>the <\/span>groundbreaking<\/span> ideas<\/span> of <\/span>our<\/span> researchers<\/span>\u2014<\/span>as<\/span> well<\/span> as<\/span> those<\/span> who<\/span> want<\/span> to join the University of <\/span>Pisa\u2019s<\/span> research<\/span> community. <\/span>We<\/span> accompany<\/span> them<\/span> in the <\/span>preparation<\/span> of <\/span>proposals<\/span> for the <\/span>European<\/span> Research<\/span> Council<\/span> (ERC) calls, <\/span>offering<\/span> tailored<\/span> and <\/span>specialised<\/span> support for the <\/span>three<\/span> funding <\/span>schemes<\/span>: <\/span>Starting<\/span>, Consolidator and Advanced<\/span>.<\/span>

Co-<\/span>Funded<\/span> Research<\/span> Initiatives<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

We<\/span> promote<\/span> co-<\/span>funded<\/span> research<\/span> initiatives<\/span> capable<\/span> of <\/span>leveraging<\/span> external<\/span> resources<\/span> and <\/span>generating<\/span> impact in <\/span>strategic<\/span> areas<\/span> for <\/span>our<\/span> University. Special <\/span>emphasis<\/span> is<\/span> given<\/span> to high-<\/span>value<\/span> scientific<\/span> projects, <\/span>such<\/span> as<\/span> those<\/span> in <\/span>archaeological<\/span> and geo-<\/span>paleontological<\/span> research<\/span>

Support for <\/span>Returning<\/span> from <\/span>Maternity<\/span> Leave<\/span><\/h2>\n

We<\/span> support <\/span>female<\/span> professors and <\/span>researchers<\/span> at<\/span> our<\/span> University <\/span>during<\/span> the <\/span>critical<\/span> phase<\/span> of <\/span>returning<\/span> from <\/span>maternity<\/span> leave<\/span>. A <\/span>dedicated<\/span> research<\/span> grant<\/span> is<\/span> available<\/span>, <\/span>which<\/span> can be <\/span>freely<\/span> used<\/span> to support <\/span>scientific<\/span> activities, <\/span>helping<\/span> to <\/span>ensure<\/span> a full and <\/span>productive<\/span> restart<\/span> of <\/span>their<\/span> research<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>
