Officially presented on <strong>22 September at the United Nations General Assembly<\/strong>, <strong>the initiative has already gathered more than 300 additional endorsements worldwide<\/strong> and is attracting <strong>considerable international attention<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Among the signatories are <strong>ten Nobel laureates, nine former heads of state or ministers, four Turing Award winners<\/strong>\u2014the highest distinction in computer science\u2014and numerous experts from leading companies in the field, including Google DeepMind, OpenAI and Anthropic. Italy is represented by a small but distinguished group of figures, including <strong>Giorgio Parisi, Enrico Letta, Maria Chiara Carrozza, Fosca Giannotti and Dino Pedreschi<\/strong>, which underscores the prominent role of the Pisa scientific community in the international debate on artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>The appeal highlights the risks arising from the uncontrolled development of advanced AI systems\u2014from disinformation and social manipulation to threats to global security\u2014and calls for an <strong>international agreement to be signed by 2026<\/strong> that would set clear, verifiable limits supported by robust enforcement mechanisms.<\/p>\n<p><em>Red Lines on AI<\/em> is promoted by the Centre pour la S\u00e9curit\u00e9 de l\u2019IA (CeSIA), The Future Society and the Center for Human-Compatible Artificial Intelligence (CHAI) at UC Berkeley, with the support of over ninety partner organisations.<\/p>\n<p>For more information and the full list
