For the first time, the University of Pisa will host the international second-level postgraduate degree course Innovative Technologies in Rehabilitation: Robotics for Health Professionals, created within the PNRR project \u201cFit for Medical Robotics \u2013 Fit4MedRob\u201d<\/a> . The programme offers the opportunity to address major challenges in rehabilitation and personal care through the most advanced technologies.<\/p>\n

The course is designed to facilitate the integration of new technologies and robotics into clinical rehabilitation, helping to overcome existing limitations while also developing knowledge to foster the further growth of innovative solutions. Its aim is to train highly qualified professionals able to operate confidently in the fields of biorobotics, artificial intelligence and frontier biotechnologies, with a constant focus on the clinical and social impact of innovation.<\/p>\n

\"\"The training programme provides students with a solid understanding of clinical needs related to rehabilitation and the treatment of specific dysfunctions; the theoretical and practical foundations of key areas in health robotics\u2014control systems, sensors, smart materials and AI\u2014as well as knowledge of emerging biotechnologies that are reshaping the future of healthcare. It applies an interdisciplinary and sustainable approach, combining technological innovation with environmental responsibility.<\/p>\n

The postgraduate degree course prepares graduates for professional roles that are increasingly in demand worldwide<\/strong>, such as consultants in rehabilitation technologies, medical robotics engineers, and physicians trained to tackle complex clinical problems with critical awareness and full command of next-generation tools. It also acts as a bridge between research and clinical practice, equipping students not only with technical expertise but also with a critical and responsible vision of the future of healthcare.
\nThe programme will be delivered in hybrid mode, with online teaching and in-person internships.<\/p>\n
