A wide educational offer and new services, from the virtual badge to fully online registration, are among the key innovations marking the start of enrolment at the University of Pisa on July 24.\u202f With a refreshed communication strategy, the University is presenting three stories across three videos, a narrative about the University and the city of Pisa designed for social media to accompany students through the long summer of decisions following their final exams.<\/p>\n

Educational offer<\/strong>
\nThe University of Pisa offers 148 Bachelor\u2019s, Master\u2019s and Single-cycle Master\u2019s degree courses in six fields of study: Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences, Humanities, Engineering, Medicine and Pharmacy, Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences, Legal, Economic and Social Sciences. This year\u2019s innovations focus on sustainability, environment, new technologies, and health professions.\u202fA new Bachelor’s degree course in Food Sciences<\/em> has been introduced by the Department of Agricultural Sciences. The School of Medicine offers three new Bachelor\u2019s degree courses in the field of health professions:\u202fProfessional education<\/em>, Audiometric techniques<\/em> and Neurophysiopathology techniques<\/em>. The Department of Economics and Management introduces a Master\u2019s degree course in English,\u202fDigital Intelligence and change Management<\/em>, and a new curriculum in\u202fEconomics for Sustainable Development. Thanks to its collaboration with Confindustria Toscana Nord, the Department of Chemistry presents a new curriculum dedicated to paper. Finally, the Department of Earth Sciences introduces a completely renewed version of the Master\u2019s Degree Course in Environmental Sciences.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Enrolment<\/strong>
\nFrom this academic year, students must enrol exclusively online.\u202fEnrolment<\/strong> for the academic year 2025\/26 is open\u202ffrom 24 July to 30 September<\/strong>. After 30 September, students can still enrol by paying a late payment fee, which increases based on the delay. Among the new features available for all students, not just newly enrolled ones, is the virtual badge: a new photo ID system with a QR Code that replaces the traditional \u201cstudent card\u201d. Between<\/strong> 26 August and 16 October<\/strong>, students can book an appointment at the Polo Fibonacci information point to explore the services provided by the University. International students must also complete their enrolment entirely online. For students with special needs, the\u202fWelcome International Students (WIS!)<\/a> support service is available by reservation and via the dedicated telephone number 338 4706070, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:00 to 12:00.<\/div>\n

Services<\/strong>
\nThe University of Pisa fosters an inclusive environment that prioritises the well-being of its student community. It offers free psychological support, peer tutoring, and dedicated desks for students with disabilities or DSA. The Anti-Violence Desk, the Trusted Advisor and the reporting channels for cases of discomfort, discrimination or harassment are all active. As further confirmation of the high quality of its services, the University of Pisa ranks first among Italy\u2019s mega universities, according to the latest Censis ranking of Italian universities.<\/p>\n

Sports<\/strong>\u202fand\u202fmusic<\/strong>\u202fare also an integral part of training. The CUS Pisa organises sports courses and activities for all skill levels, from beginners to competitive athletes, and the University supports professional athletes through its dual career programme. Music is a powerful tool for growth and inclusion: the University Choir and Orchestra welcome students from all degree courses, as well as lecturers and administrative staff. Last year saw the launch of the University Educational Theatre, a project that led to the creation of a student theatre company. Finally, the University offers a range of indirect financial benefits, including study rooms open even on holidays, libraries, free Wi-Fi, special agreements, and urban transport at subsidised fees.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Communication campaign<\/strong>
\nThree students, three stories, one shared experience. The new orientation and enrolment campaign for the academic year 2025\/26 of the University of Pisa is a video storytelling project designed for social media. The\u202fproject is divided into three short videos with the University acting as the common thread that links the life of the three main characters: Chiara, Lorenzo, and Martina<\/strong>. Each story is linked to the other. Three events that come together to form a collective story about Pisa, its university, and the city \u2014 from the Leaning Tower to Haring\u2019s Tuttomondo, and into the laboratories, classrooms, and libraries.<\/p>\n

In the first video, the main character is Chiara, an out-of-town student. The story begins at her home and continues through bike rides, university classrooms, and views of the historic city centre. The keywords in this episode are autonomy, change and welcome. The second video features Lorenzo, a student from Pisa who chose to stay in his hometown to study. Here, the episode centres on discovering the city in a new way through the university. The third video is dedicated to Martina, a newly enrolled student. This episode captures the emotions of those taking their first steps at university, through choices, encounters, and discoveries.<\/p>\n

The videos, produced by the Noise+ agency, were coordinated by the University\u2019s Communication Office in collaboration with the Education Division and the Orientation Office.<\/p>\n
