Climate Day \u2013 Solutions for Climate Change in Inland and Vulnerable Areas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On the occasion of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.circle-u.eu\/circle-u-climate-day-2026\"><strong>Circle U. Climate Day<\/strong><\/a>, promoted by the European University Alliance Circle U. to celebrate Earth Day, the University of Pisa is organising an event at the Certosa di Calci aimed at fostering dialogue between the research community and local stakeholders, including public administrators, technical experts, and local practitioners.<\/p>\n<p>At the heart of the discussion are the challenges posed by climate change in more fragile and less urbanised areas, with the aim of sharing knowledge, experiences, and possible strategies for adaptation and mitigation.<\/p>\n<p>The event is organized in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/cirsec.unipi.it\">CIRSEC<\/a>, the Interdepartmental Center for the Study of the Effects of Climate Change at the University of Pisa.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-462399\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sustainability-unsplash.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sustainability-unsplash.jpg 1315w, https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sustainability-unsplash-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sustainability-unsplash-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sustainability-unsplash-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"jdhbgp\" data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"661\">The aim: from research to action<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"663\" data-end=\"1329\">Climate change is a global challenge that affects the most fragile territories with particular intensity. This event, organised by the University of Pisa within the framework of the European Alliance Circle U., has a clear objective: to move beyond analysing the problem and focus on solutions. The day is conceived as a space for direct and operational dialogue between academia, local institutions, and territories. We aim to facilitate genuine matchmaking between the concrete needs of administrations (adaptation, mitigation, prevention) and innovation, research across all scientific fields, and the technologies made available by researchers at our University.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"vg8l9a\" data-start=\"1331\" data-end=\"1355\">Who is the event for?<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"63\" data-end=\"162\">The event is designed as a multidisciplinary and inter-institutional meeting opportunity, aimed at:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"164\" data-end=\"967\">\n<li data-section-id=\"18ghl09\" data-start=\"164\" data-end=\"609\"><strong data-start=\"166\" data-end=\"237\">Mayors, local administrators, and technical staff of municipalities<\/strong> (particularly those in inland and vulnerable areas), who face climate challenges on the front line, as well as local stakeholders and actors involved in territorial development.<br data-start=\"415\" data-end=\"418\" \/><em data-start=\"420\" data-end=\"516\">(Please note: participation is limited to a maximum of 50 representatives from public bodies.)<\/em><br data-start=\"516\" data-end=\"519\" \/>Registration form available at the following link: <a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/iHTYragB4w6vCM5JA\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"572\" data-end=\"607\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/iHTYragB4w6vCM5JA<\/a><\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1nf9o4x\" data-start=\"611\" data-end=\"967\"><strong data-start=\"613\" data-end=\"635\">Academic community<\/strong>: researchers, faculty members, PhD candidates, and students from the University of Pisa.<br data-start=\"724\" data-end=\"727\" \/><em data-start=\"729\" data-end=\"874\">(Please note: participation is reserved for those who will present posters via the dedicated link and for members of the organizing committee.)<\/em><br data-start=\"874\" data-end=\"877\" \/>Registration form available at the following link: <a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/GRrmdTGF9oHMQMkg6\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"930\" data-end=\"965\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/GRrmdTGF9oHMQMkg6<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"969\" data-end=\"1204\">Morning sessions will also be accessible online.
