Leopoldo Trieste received a BA in Economics Statistics and Social Science from Bocconi University, Milan, Italy, in 2004; a MSc in innovation management and a Ph.D. in Management from Scuola Superiore SantAnna (SSSA), Pisa, Italy, in 2005 and 2010, respectively. Since 2010, he has been a Research Fellow at SSSA. He has authored or co-authored international papers on drug markets, the economic burden of specific diseases, the impact of diagnostic technology on clinical decision making, the analyisis of diffusion barriers for health and robotic technology. His current research interests include health economics, statistical methods and models in cost-effectiveness analysis, health technology assessment, diffusion of innovation in healthcare, decision theory and agent based models.
