Emilia Bramanti, Research Director at CNR, was born in Pietrasanta (Tuscany, Italy) in 1968. In 1991 Dr. Emilia Bramanti received a M.Sc. in Life Sciences with honors as student of the University of Pisa. Dr. Bramanti won a PhD position in Chemistry at University of Pisa in 1992 and got his PhD in 1996. In 1996 she joined to CNR at the Institute of Instrumental Analytical Chemistry, now Institute of Chemistry of Organometallic Compounds (ICCOM).
Scientist in analytical and bioanalytical chemistry. Her research is focused on the development of novel analytical hyphenated methodologies for environmental and bioclinical applications, food and protein chemistry, cultural heritage, science materials. The scientific results of Dr. Bramanti are witnessed by co-authorship of 170 publications on peer-reviewed international journals (h-index=34), 1 book chapter, 3 patents, and several refereed conference abstracts present in ISI. She coordinated 2 EU Life+ projects and she was involved in 4 European Life+ Projects.
She is currently working on the development of non invasive analytical methods (chromatography and spectroscopy) for the identification of biomarkers of metabolism in health and disease in biological fluids.
She has been evaluator of projects and of Research products of Italian Universities and Research Institutes (VQR 2004-2010 and VQR 2015-2019)/ Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes (ANVUR)/MIUR Ministero dell'Istruzione Ministero dell'Università e della Ricerca/Italy.
