International Relations
International Relations
The University of Pisa has always been characterised by a strong international vocation, but now, more than ever, internationalization is considered as one of its primary policies.
A university's strength can also be seen to derive from its power to draw students, teachers and researchers from abroad and its ability to encourage staff mobility at an international level. It is additionally important to develop international research projects.
The international activities of the University of Pisa can be grouped under the following main headings:
- Promotion of the International Inter-University Cooperation Conventions aimed at planning collaborative scientific research
- Promotion of the International Inter-University Conventions aimed at creating international joint study courses
- Participation in the Research and Training Programmes of the European Union and other Institutions (MAE, MIUR, Crui, etc.)
- Mobility within the Socrates-Erasmus Programme
- Mobility within the Erasmus Mundus Programme
- Foreign student admissions to first-cycle and acknowledgment of foreign academic qualifications
The international activities are managed and promoted by the "Ufficio Relazioni Internazionali" (International Relations Office)
