On May 26th, at 10.30 a.m. in the Aula Magna Nuova of the "La Sapienza" Building in Pisa, Vinton Cerf and Robert Kahn will be awarded with the Laurea honoris causa in Information Technology Engineering by the University of Pisa.
Vinton Cerf and Robert Kahn are the inventors of the TCP/IP, the basic protocol behind the Internet.
For this reason, in 2004, Cerf and Kahn won the Turing Award, considered to be the Nobel Prize of computing.
