As the principal political body of the University, the Academic Senate has deciding powers on all University cultural policy. In particular, the Senate is concerned with:

The Administration Council decides over the University's administrative, financial and patrimonial management.
Its functions include the:

This is the students' "assembly", with consulting functions on teaching and services, and deciding powers over self-managed student activities; it is made up of the nominated representatives within the Academic Senate, Administration Council, Management bodies of the Regional Authority for the Right to Education, Committee for University Sport, and Faculty Councils.
