The Schools of Specialisation

The Schools of Specialisation offer post-graduate training courses that provide the necessary, specific knowledge and skills for the pursuit of certain professions.
The schools of specialisation courses last at least two years, concluding with the issue of a diploma.

School of Specialisation for Legal Professions

The School provides the necessary knowledge for the following of the careers of ordinary magistrate, lawyer and notary. The course lasts two years: a common year followed by a second according to the selected study path.
Admission to the School is by means of an annual examination and assessment of candidates' qualifications. The Specialist Diploma for Legal Professions is conditional for admission to the contest for the ordinary magistrature.

Schools of Specialisation for the Medical Field

The Schools of Specialisation for the Medical Field have the aim of providing graduates with a thorough preparation in the various specialisations of medicine and surgery. Admission is by means of an annual examination and assessment of candidates' qualifications.
The Ministry annually determines the number of places and scholarships available, as well posts reserved for foreign students.
For the duration, the student following the course of specialisation can make use of an annual grant presently fixed at 11.603, 50 Euro.
Attainment of the qualification of specialist includes a final exam consisting of a discussion of a thesis.

Schools of Specialisation of other fields

The University of Pisa's educational offer also includes Schools of Specialisation of the Techno-Scientific and Humanities fields. Admission to these Schools is by means of an annually announced public examination and assessment of candidates' qualifications. For foreign student admission please refer to the specific ministerial memorandum, annually publicated on the Ministery of Education, University and Scientific Research website.
